RUDE, NOT TRUTHFUL & UNPROFESSIONAL, REFUSE TO GIVE MY ITEMS BACK. I was at their 2nd location at 225 Broadway, it is called Renaissance Jewelers II. I left a gold watch that I inherited from my grand mother and a wedding band for repairs on Friday 05/02/2014. They told me that ring will be ready by Wednesday next week 05/07 and estimate on watch repairs will be done by Monday 05/05. On Monday I came in and nothing is done, everything sits in envelope as it was. Representative swears that it will be done on Wednesday. So I come back on Wednesday, and surprise, nothing is done, they swear that everything will be done by the end of the week. I come on Friday night 6pm, nothing is done and not watch nor ring are in the envelope anymore. They discuss between themselves that someone took my watch home and ring is being done downstairs, but then turn to me and lie that watch are in the watch shop for estimates. Later on jeweler (who is young may be 25 year old guy who seems like a talented but very tired guy) comes back with the ring and it's not evenly fixed, pave setting of diamonds has a hole in between. I see it with my bare eyes, but representative pretends blind like it's done. So I demand to look closer, he puts on magnifying glass and still says it is OK and that broken thing can not be fixed and be pretty as it was. I was kinda surprised why did not they mention that before they took my money, in that case I would find someone else to do the job. Now the worst part, regarding the watch: I requested them back, since they are not doing the job. Representative says, that watch are not in the store and they are not going to give them back to me. So I ask why did they tell me that everything is done in their basement and now it turns out that my watches are not in the store. He argues and argues and by the end of the discussion shout at me: "Argue 2 minutes more and you will never see your watch again"... I take out my phone, put it on record and ask what was he saying, and he says "I never said that". Moreover they told me that I am not right in my head, 2 days is not the big deal and I just want to argue. So yeah they have my grandmother's gold (as in all gold hella expensive) watch to which I am sentimentally attached and refuse to give them back and it is not a big deal. Please save yourself time and stay away.

I was utterly shocked and it took me a minute after exiting to realize that I was even insulted while inside.

my partner bought me what we were told was a new white gold and diamond ring from Steve. Within days the stones started to fall out. We have had no help in resolving the issue on what was a very expensive piece of jewellery. Do not shop here people !!!!! If I could afford the flight from Australia back to New York I would front these rogues as the never respond to emails or return phone calls
