Excellent customer service and the prices are so reasonable for mid-town Manhattan.
I was visiting NYC but lost a screw to our stroller that made it basically impossible to fold up. The guy found the exact screw (a common size but less common thread pitch, take it from an engineer) and installed it on the spot. I asked "how much?" and he says "Don't worry about it."
I love these old-school hardware stores! If you just need 4 bolts or whatever, you don't have to buy a whole box of them, and sometimes they have things in sizes that the big-box stores won't have.
I found the employees to be very helpful, they don't follow you around or anything but if you ask, they help you out.
